The spirit of discovery comes alive on Saturday, October 17, as the Museum of Discovery returns to the Mid-South Music Festival, offering children an engaging morning of hands-on learning, creativity, and innovation.
Sponsored by Crist Engineers, Saturday morningโs programming will feature four STEM “Tinkerfest” stations and an interactive science show presented by the Museum of Discovery. The stations will run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the science show beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The Museum of Discoveryโs Tinkerfest program provides children with โhands-on, open-ended discovery celebrating science, technology, engineering, art, and creativity.โ The program encourages creativity, curiosity, and innovationโvalues that align closely with the spirit of the Mid-South Music Festival.
โThe Museum of Discovery did a phenomenal job at our 2025 event, so we are thrilled to bring them back in an even bigger way in 2026,โ Festival Coordinator Jenna Friday said. โTinkerfest allows us to engage all ages of the community in a meaningful way and adds another exciting dimension to the festival experience.โ
Saturday morningโs programming is free to attend.
Each year, the Mid-South Music Festival draws thousands of attendees and showcases both regional talent and nationally touring artists. Held in the heart of historic downtown Arkadelphia, the event remains free thanks to the generous support of local sponsors and community partners.
